In Fifth Grade, we will recognize our personal strength, take responsibility for our actions, be a role model, and we will stay positive and open - minded in all situations. By practicing these habits, we will discover a world of possibilities.

Your student will bring home a copy of the disclosure on the first day of school, please make sure you go over it with your child and send back the colored signature page only. We will be covering information from the disclosure on the first day of school.

Students please make sure that you are looking at your learning plan each night and checking Aspire a couple of times a week. Mrs. Shaver and Mrs. Stewart update grades daily in Aspire.

Science

Phenomena - an observable event

~In science, we will start with learning about our Earth's Systems (geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere). We will observe, analyze, and interpret the characteristics and interactions of these systems.

History

~ We will be studying our the regions of the United States.

Labs

*Math Lab will be offered Monday afternoon in both classrooms.

*Language/Science/History is on Wednesday. If you need to retake a test, please let us know when you are coming so we are prepared to help you and prepare your test. Remember corrected tests in red pen must be turned in before you can retake any test. Tests must be taken during lab times, not recess time. Please arrive on time to pick up your child so we can prepare for the next day lesson.

Math: Mondays 3:00-3:30

Language/Science/History: Wednesday 3:00-3:30

When students are attending lab they are expected to be working and using their time wisely. This is another time for them to get extra support if needed.
